The central government has presented the proposal to amendment in the registration of birth and Death act in Parliament monsoon season 2023. The bill was approved in the Lok Sabha instantly and after that it was sent to the Rajya Sabha. Members of Rajya Sabha has also approved this bill on 1 August 2023 in this monsoon season. After that the bill has also been approved by the president of India. Now it is announced by the Ministry of Home Affairs of the union government that the bill has been successfully amendments and it will be take in action on 1 October 2023. this information was announced through a notification and order of ministry of home affairs which was released on the Wednesday.

Nowadays, the Aadhar card is very popular document which is used by Indian citizen for various purposes including admission in a school, apply for government schemes, apply for passport etc. but now the birth certificate will also be important for some specific government services. At the initial stage the government is allowing birth certificate for providing admission in schools to students, applying in passport, Marriage registration, driving licence application, government services etc. However, these services are informed by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs in the notification. but it may be also use for other documentations also. so it is important for you and all citizen in India to correct their date of birth in the birth certificate and if they do not have the but certificate then they should apply immediately for using various government services.

Birth certificate will be provided digitally
It is also informed that the government will improve the services to provide Birth Certificate to the customers. The government is focusing to provide Digital documents two citizens through various schemes. Aadhar card, pan card, voter ID card, driving licence etc are already provided to citizen in the digital form as well as hard copy. The use of digital document is same as the hard copy. Now citizen can also download their birth certificate through digitally and their details certificate will also applicable for all the department which are accepting the certificate. However, the service of birth certificate is only provided on hard copy. Citizens have to wait approximately 1 to 2 months to receive the hard copy of birth certificate after applying it through manually. But if the government provide digital facility to download birth certificate in the digital form then it will very easy for citizens to show their but certificate digitally in case in the department is delaying to send the hard copy of birth certificate.
