Teachers Day long speech 2023

Today, on September 5th, we gather here with immense joy and gratitude to celebrate not just Teachers’ Day, but also to pay tribute to a great scholar and visionary, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, whose birth anniversary we commemorate today. Dr. Radhakrishnan, the second President of India, was not only a statesman but also an exemplary teacher who believed in the transformative power of education.

Teachers’ Day is a special day in our academic calendar when we come together to express our deep appreciation for the extraordinary individuals who play an important role in our lives – our teachers. They are the torchbearers of knowledge, wisdom, and enlightenment, guiding us towards a brighter future.

Dr. Radhakrishnan, a true luminary in the field of education, emphasized the importance of teachers and their vital role in shaping the destiny of a nation. He believed that teachers should be respected for their contributions, and thus, his birthday was chosen to honour all educators across the nation.

Our teachers are the people who work hard to teach us and help us grow. They teach us not only the subjects, but also the values that we need to live a good life. They are our mentors, guiding us through the maze of life. They are always there for us, no matter what.

On this special day, let us express our gratitude to our teachers. Let us remember the lessons they have taught us, the values they have instilled in us, and the dreams they have nurtured. Let us also promise to be good students and to make the most of the education they provide.

Let us also remember that being a good student means more than just getting good grades. It also means being respectful, being responsible, and being helpful. It means being a good citizen and making a positive contribution to society.

Work together to make sure that our teachers are appreciated and respected. Let us show them how much we value their hard work and dedication. Let us make Teachers’ Day a day to celebrate the teachers who make a difference in our lives.

Thank you.
